The story of Ibrahim Manzar
The story so far.
No degree, one failed startup, a few call centre shifts, and then 200+ brands.
"I didn't learn marketing in a classroom. I learned it by failing at it first."
I was born in Lahore in 2002 and started working early. I never went the degree route. Everything I know about content and marketing came from experimenting, starting things, and watching some of them fall apart.
My first startup failed. So did my first agency. In between there were call centre jobs, a corporate role that didn't fit and a year as a social media manager, each one teaching me something the last one couldn't.
Today I run GetX Marketing and make video, AI content and ads for brands in the US, UK and UAE. Here's how it actually happened, chapter by chapter.
Nine chapters.
From one laptop in Lahore to brands on three continents. Every turn, including the wrong ones.
-
Chapter 01
Winci.pk, my first startup.
No degree, just an idea and a lot of experimenting. The business failed, but it taught me more than any classroom would have.
-
Chapter 02
The hard years.
Struggling to find work and taking call centre jobs to get by. Not the plan, but it taught me how to talk to people and keep going.
-
Chapter 03
Mindbridge, and a big decision.
I thought this was it. Six months in, I knew it wasn't for me, so I went back to what I love: marketing.
-
Chapter 04
Social media manager.
Running brand accounts full time. Just before my first year was up, I decided to build something of my own.
-
Chapter 05
GetX Technologies, take one.
My first go at an agency. It didn't work, because I didn't yet know what to offer or how to find clients.
-
Chapter 06
Top Rated, 100% job success.
Learning to win and keep clients one project at a time: social media, content and websites for startups in the US, UK and UAE.
-
Chapter 07
GetX Marketing, take two.
This time with the experience to back it up. Content, Meta ads, design and branding for 200+ clients, from restaurants and home services to skincare brands.
-
Chapter 08
AI joins the team.
Product shots no longer need a photoshoot, video ads no longer need a crew, and a voiceover takes minutes. AI is now part of almost every campaign we run.
-
Chapter 09
Teaching what works.
Prompt to Paid is my course on the exact workflow I use with clients, for creators who want to earn with AI content from home.
Moments along the way.
Forza Ferrari.
I'm a Ferrari fan, and Formula 1 is where my content brain switches to fan mode. I make posters, edits and race-weekend reels for the F1 community on my second Instagram.
